Club Salon Print Trophies 

Carters Photographics Trophy - introduced in 2023
This trophy is awarded for Champion print of the year, selected from all print images entered in the Club Salon.
It replaced the Ian R Little Trophy.

The Withers Trophy - Presented by R G Withers in 1956
Reassigned in 2023 to be awarded for one of two Best themed prints. Prior to 2023 it was awarded for highest evaluation points in Print Open

Chris Penn Trophy - Presented by Chris Penn (Mrs)
Originally awarded for Best Nature Print it was reassigned in 2023 to be awarded for one of two Best themed prints.

AF Stewart Trophy
Awarded for most points for a B Grade photographer in Print section of Club Salon

Frank Gray Trophy
Awarded for most points for a C Grade photographer in Print section of Club Salon

Ian R Little Trophy - Presented by Ian  R Little, Christchurch

Associate Cup - Presented by Mrs Grace de Faur in 1963

J Gully Cup - Presented by John and Jennifer Gully in 2013.
This cup is awarded for the Best Portrait print of the year, selected from all print images entered in the Club Salon. It is not awarded every year, only in the years when Portrait is one of the two themes.

Club Salon Digital Trophies
Our digital trophies have evolved from the days of photographic slides.

Champion Projected Image Trophy - Presented by the 1956 Committee members
We believe this trophy would have been originally awarded for the best Photographic Slide image of the year. Later it was reassigned and awarded to the Champion Digital Image of the Year, selected from all the digital images entered into the Club Salon. In 2023 this trophy was retired due to it's deteriorating condition and deemed too expensive to repair. 

Since 2023 the Champion Digital Image is awarded the Joan Hamilton Trophy.

Joan Hamilton Trophy
The trophy was presented to the society by Joan Hamilton LRPS. Joan was the Societies' first female president and served for one year between 1966 -1967. It was awarded to the best Landscape digital image in the Club Salon. In 2023 the original trophy was replaced and it is now awarded to the Champion digital image of the year in Club Salon.

J M Harland Trophy - Presented by Mr J M Harland in 1984

Paul Byrne Cup - Presented by Paul Byrne in 2013.
This cup is awarded for the Best Portrait digital image of the year, selected from all digital images entered in the Club Salon. It is not awarded every year, only in the years when Portrait is one of the two themes.
